EAGLE'S END

As the Storm God rose up

When the rogue bulls came

He shielded kin Earned his true name

Winter's cruel mark

Where his nose once stood

He fought for his family

As any orc would

Through winter's black nights

He turned to face the dread

Himinn Hoarfist born in

Blizzards of bloodshed

The flying ship

Of bones and of skin

Known as Evening Star

Where the story begins

King Taivas the Eagle

So ancient so wise

Held his court among

The birds in the sky

With his magic crystal

And one eye aflame

He spoke of how destiny

Whispered his name

“Seek ye Land of Summer’s gold

So that I may rest my weary bones”

A crew of orcs

With two thralls behind

Gathered around as

The stars all aligned

With Hoarfist in front

Twin sons by his side

Unlucky Usik

And Kiru the Kind

Red Raken the savage

Limp Laver half blind

She-wolf protect us

Their homeland behind

Into storms raging

With crimson might

Evening Star's first trial

On the Eagle's last flight

Across the Endless Water they flew

Seeking lands where the warm winds blew

Bygar the Builder

A giant of this brood

Guided the ship as

The tempest grew

At last they beheld it

This fabled shore

Snow kissed only peaks

Winter was no more

Forests teemed with life

Foreign colors ablaze

Warm water and sunlight

Left the crew in a daze

In an old glade of Summer

Where shadows lay low

Beneath trees where

Warm wind would blow

With solemn pride

And a bittersweet glow

It was the end of the Eagle

The King's final show

As the dusk settled in

And with somber grace

The crown was passed

To Himinn’s embrace

“HAIL HELLFIST!”

Echoed through the trees

As the crystal came alive

In the evening breeze

“HAIL HELLFIST!”

A dragon descended

Like thunder its flight

King Himinn stood firm

To claim his birthright

With a bolt of red lightning

He struck his foe down

Took the beast's head as

Red rain fell all around

“HAIL HELLFIST!”

Yet none would return

When the journey turned dim

Only one thrall

With whispers so grim

He sang of the glory

The battles they’d won

Chronicled the saga

When all was done

Thus through the ages

Their story shall flow

A Saga of Sunsets

Where the warm wind blows
